Sri Lanka Air Force gets more equipment for HHOT production

COLOMBO (News 1st)  The Sri Lanka Air Force received a donation from the Sri Lanka Association USA (Midwest) this morning (21 September 2021) at Air Force Headquarters. The donations were made by Professor Ravin Kodikara the President of the Sri Lanka Association USA (Midwest). The Director Health Services of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Lalith Jayaweera accepted the equipment donation of behalf of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. The donation included vital electronic/electrical equipment worth Rs. 2 Million required by the Sri Lanka Air Force in the manufacturing of Heated Humidified Oxygen Therapy (HHOT) Units which are being used at many hospitals around the island to treat patients affected with COVID-19. Today's donation will enable the Sri Lanka Air Force to manufacture and provide more and more of these vital units to hospitals around the island.
