COLOMBO (News 1st); The Voice Against Corruption Movement alleges there is an attempt to release 33,000 acres in Trincomalee to the United States of America.

Wasantha Samarasinghe, the convenor of the movement speaking to reporters on Sunday (08) said a cabinet memorandum is in the making to release lands to the US, the same way lands were released to China.

He said the government sells off lands in the country in the guise of development adding that these attempts are to fulfill the requirements for the MCC agreement.
