Vaccination of teachers in Western Province begins; Schools to re-open soon

COLOMBO (News 1st); The program to re-open schools will commence on a stage-by-stage basis and the first stage will commence in August 2021, said Education Minister (Professor) G. L. Peiris on Monday (12).

The Minister officially launched the program to vaccinate teachers in the Western Province and stressed that online and distance learning cannot be accepted as a successful alternative to education, adding there were flaws in the process.
