COLOMBO (News 1st): COVID-19 vaccines are being administered at hospitals run by the Sri Lanka Army, as authorities attempt to expedite the roll-out of the jabs. Vaccines were administered by the Medical Corps of the Army under the guidance of Army Commander General Shavendra Silva who heads the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID​-19 Outbreak (​NOCPCO) The program was successfully carried out at 9 centers in Colombo, 26 centers in Mannar, and also in Hambantota, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Batticoloa, Kilinochchi, and Mullaitivu. Our correspondents reported that the people had commended army officers for their support to vaccinate differently-abled individuals.
