Protest over issues in online education

COLOMBO (News1st): A protest was staged in Kurunegala today, citing several demands including necessary facilities for online education, and funding allocated for education. Parents and teachers in and around Kurunegala participated in the protest which was staged opposite the Kurunegala clock tower. "The children are on treetops and teachers use their own money for online teaching," M. A. Wimalasiri, the Western Province Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union said. He pointed out that four ministers who handle subjects related to education have failed to resolve this problem.
