COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo High Court on Monday (14) ordered to release the skipper of the X-Press Pearl container ship on a personal bond of Rs. 02 million.

He was arrested on Monday (14) morning by the Criminal Investigations Department and was produced at the Colombo High Court.

The Russian skipper of the X-Press Pearl was barred from traveling overseas and was ordered to surrender his passport to the court as well.

The case will be called up again on the 01st of July.
