Ratnapura COVID vaccination drive to commence on Sunday (30)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The next phase of COVID-19 vaccination will commence from the Ratnapura and Jaffna districts, the Ministry of Health said.

Accordingly, the COVID-19 vaccine will be administered in the Ratnapura District from Sunday (30).

The first dose of Chinese Sinopharm vaccine is currently being administered to people in the Kurunegala, Galle and Matara districts.

The Health Ministry stated that vaccination is also being carried out successfully in the Western Province.

Meanwhile, the Colombo Municipal Council says that the administration of the Sinopharm vaccine to the people in the Colombo city limits will resume from Saturday )29).

Its Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni stated that the vaccination drive will take place at Roxy Gardens in Wellawatte and P. D. Sirisena Ground in Maligawatte. The vaccination drive is being held at the Sirisena Stadium.

The Sri Lanka Army also released details of the locations where Army managed vaccination programs will be held.
