COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Transport Medical Institute (NTMI) has taken steps to issue medical reports only to those who have placed prior appointments by telephone, taking into account the prevailing COVID-19 high-risk situation, its top official said.
Two special hotlines have been introduced for this purpose, Dr. Savindra Gamage, the Chairman of the National Transport Medical Institute told News 1st on Wednesday (Apr. 28).
According to Dr. Savindra Gamage, people can book a date beforehand by contacting 225 via any mobile network, and 1225 via landline networks.
“Place an appointment prior to visiting the National Transport Medical Institute to obtain medical reports,” Dr. Savindra Gamage requested the general public.
