Colombo (News 1st); Police Special Task Force personnel recovered several weapons and ammunition following a raid in Katana on Thursday (11).

02 shotguns, 167 rounds of 09 mm caliber ammo, 994 rounds of 12 Bore ammo, 385 rounds of 7.6 caliber ammo, 10 rounds of .38 caliber ammo and 17 rounds of .32 ammo were seized by the STF.

Police spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said a 60-year-old male was arrested for the possession of these weapons, and the Katara Police with the assistance of the Police Special Task Force are conducting investigations.
