Colombo (News 1st); 715 COVID-19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (02) and a majority of 261 of these cases were from the Colombo District.

142 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Gampaha District and 61 cases were reported from the Badulla District.

Further, 53 and 43 cases were reported from the Kurunegala and Kandy districts, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

40 cases were reported from Kalutara and 24 cases were reported from Galle.

23 cases were reported from Ratnapura and 14 cases were reported from Polonnaruwa.

The remaining 54 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Hambantota, Anuradhapura, Matara, Moneragala, Matale, Ampara, Kegalle, Batticaloa, Nuwara Eliya and Trincomalee districts.
