PCR testing capacity must be increased : GMOA

COLOMBO (News1st): The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has said that the authorities must increase the PCR testing capacity for COVID-19 up to 10,000 daily. "We can only identify patients or carriers if we carry out sufficient testing," Dr Haritha Aluthge, the GMOA editor told reporters during a media briefing on Thursday. He pointed out that the spread of the virus can be curbed if the patients or carriers are isolated.
