6,142 people in 60 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine

The Government Information Department said one of them is from Kuwait and the other two are from the United Arab Emirates, all who are undergoing mandatory quarantine.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka is at 3,265, reported the Government Information Department.

On Monday (14), 28 people, all expatriates, and foreigners were confirmed positive to COVID-19.

By 6.00 Tuesday morning (15), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 649.

Of them, 528 individuals are detainees under rehabilitation, 67 staff members, 5 guest staffers, 48 family members and close associates, including 01 person who got in contact with the infected one in the Welikada Prison.

The flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 05 passengers last night and the flight QR 668 from Doha, Qatar with 26 passengers arrived in Sri Lanka and all of them were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

41,113 individuals have been sent back home after completing the quarantine period.

6,142 persons in 60 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

Within yesterday (14), 1920 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stand at 256,043.
