Curfew duration to be reduced from Saturday

COLOMBO (News1st): The curfew in all districts of the country will be in effect only from 11 pm to 4 am from Saturday, the President's Office said in a statement. Travelling between districts has been allowed when the curfew is lifted except for Colombo and Gampaha which have been identified as high-risk zones for COVID-19. Previously, the government had announced that the curfew will be in effect only from 10 pm to 4 am from Saturday. However, this directive will not be in effect. The government has requested the public to abide by health directives while ensuring the operations of state and private sectors.
