Fire at Deiyandara Court suspected to be an act of Arson to destroy evidence.

The Judicial Service Commission has informed Police to submit a report on the fire which broke out at the Deiyandara Magistrate's Court. Further action would be taken based on the final report of Police investigations, the Judicial Services Commission said. Police suspect the fire that erupted at the evidence storage of the Deiyandara Magistrate's Court, was an act of arson. Two teams have been assigned to carry out investigations into the incident headed by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, the Police added. Officers of the Government Analyst's Department also carried out an inquiry into the incident yesterday.
