COLOMBO (News1st): Postal services will resume tomorrow in areas in which the curfew is lifted, the postal department said Monday.
The delivery of postal articles in these areas will commence on Wednesday, postmaster general Ranjith Ariyaratne said.
He added that delays could, however, be experienced in the delivery process until the situation is restored to normalcy in the country.
Ariyaratne announced that the postal department will temporarily suspend accepting international mail, as bans have been slapped on flight and ship arrivals.
He stressed that postal workers have been instructed to adhere to all health guidelines during the delivery process.
