Colombo (News 1st) - The Attorney General's Department today informed court, Thusitha Dilum Kumara - who served as a driver to MP Patali Champika Ranawaka - had given a statement to the Colombo Crimes Division claiming before he surrendered himself to court, he was in hiding at the Battaramulla residence of the Former Minister. Thusitha Dilum Kumara, is the second suspect in the case filed against Ex-Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka over an accident which took place in Rajagiriya in 2016. He surrendered to court on the 14th of December 2019 and gave a statement in camera to court on the 28th of January 2020. When the matter was called up today, MP Patali Champilka Ranawaka had requested permission from court to travel overseas for a period of two weeks. An order on the request will be made on the 04th of April 2020.
