Sunil Handunetti re-appointed as COPE chairman

Colombo (News 1st): JVP Parliamentarian Sunil Handunetti was re-appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) in parliament today (Feb 7). MP Sunil Handunetti’s name was proposed by MP Ajith P. Perera and was seconded by MP Ashok Abeysinghe. He was the COPE chairman prior to the prorogation of Parliament on the 02nd of December 2019. Ministers Susil Premajayantha, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, and MPs Ajith P. Perera, D.V. Chanaka, Ashok Abeysinghe, Dr. Harsha de Silva were present at the committee meeting held today.
