Ganja cultivation under the disguise of an orchard destroyed

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Police Special Task Force destroyed a ganja cultivation which was operating under the guise of an orchard in Wennappuwa. The STF carried out the raid based on a tip-off and arrested the ganja traffickers and two employees. The operation was taking place within a 50 perches plot of land and was concealed using coconut leaves. Over 1000 flower pots with Ganja plants were seized. Investigations revealed ganja seeds were purchased by the traffickers for a sum of Rs 10,000 per kilogram from Thanamalwila and Siyambalanduwa.
