Air quality surrounding Colombo to improve in the next 72 hours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Building Research Organisation stated that within the next 72 hours the dust particle density in the Colombo atmosphere during the night should return to normalcy. Senior Geologist at the NBRO, Sarath Premasiri noted it has been reported that after the last 25th dust particle density surrounding Colombo has been heightened due to the warm weather and as the ground cools down during the night. He added that this condition was heightened following fireworks during the 31st and new year and it was reported that the air quality index held a high value of 170. However, this condition is to improve within the next 72 hours.
