President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in Kandy

Colombo (News 1st) - President Gotabaya Rajapaksa traveled to Kandy this morning to obtain blessings from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. President Rajapaksa who assumed duties yesterday was welcomed by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela at the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. It is tradition to pay homage for any new state leader to visit the temple and pay homage to the Sacred tooth relic. The President is due to call on the Chief Prelates of the Malawathu and Asgiri Chapters of the Siyam sect as well as the Chief Prelate of the Ramanya sect.
