Rohan Pallewatte congratulates President-elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa

Colombo (News 1st): Presidential Candidate Dr Rohan Pallewatte, secured 25,173 votes at this year's Presidential Election. Speaking regarding the election, he congratulated Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the winner of this year's Presidential Election and extended his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who voted for him and allowed him to secure more than 25,000 votes. He noted that he sees this as a largely fair election, although there were some minor issues. He said they have seen throughout history when voters side with the top 2 parties, alternative candidates are only left with a limited number of votes and it was seen this time as well. Therefore, he added that we can expect a tedious journey for alternative groups, even in the future. Dr. Rohan Pallewatte noted that they should only contest for any sort of election, only until it ends. Thereafter, he said this country belongs to everyone, including those who win and those who do not. He said, therefore, they shoulds all come together to develop this nation over the next few years, that is my message to everyone.
