Colombo (News 1st): The Meteorological Department noted that there is a high possibility for afternoon thundershowers in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts on 15th and 16th of November.

It added that several spells of showers will occur in Northern and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Hambanthota districts, while, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls about 75-100 mm can be expected at some places inthe  Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western provinces as well as in the Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts. The Met department predicts Misty conditions at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
