Country is poor, leaders are wealthy : Anura Kumara

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Presidential Candidate of the National People's Power Movement Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with the people in Mawanella last evening. Addressing those gathered, Anura Kumara called on the public to hand over the reins of the country to a new camp on the 16th of November inorder to rebuild the nation. He noted that one particular area that he wishes to focus on is the creation of a legal system that treats everyone equally and fairly. Anura Kumara also noted that in order to rebuild the nation, it should be free of corruption and fraud. "If you look at all indicators, our country is poor.  It's heavily burdened by debt. Our country is poor. But what about the leaders? They get wealthier every day. Why? You can determine why the country is poor if you find out how the leaders got wealthier." - Anura Kumara
