President advises candidates regarding their policies

COLOMBO (News 1st)-President Maithripala Sirisena said presidential candidates must very clearly state their policies in relation to environmental issues in their election manifestos when they are presented to the general public. The President said environmental destruction all over the world has become a major threat to all the living beings including humans and therefore the politicians must make environmental conservation their top priority.
