Another special COPE report to be presented in parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st) Another special COPE report is due to be presented in parliament on the 22nd of this month. The report will be presented by the Chairman of the Committee of Public Enterprises MP Sunil Handunnetti. The report includes details of inquiries conducted into the activities of 23 state institutions during the time period from March 1st, 2018 to October 28th, 2018. Institutions like the Road Development Authority, the National Transport Commission were summoned to COPE for various investigations on a number of occasions. COPE has now focused its attention on providing the opportunity for citizens and representatives of various civil organizations to present facts before the committee.
