Elpitiya PS is not a country : Nalin Bandara Jayamaha

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Following the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Saba elections several political figures shared their thoughts on the matter in relation to the upcoming presidential election. Geetha Kumarasinghe, SLPP Chief Organizer of Elpitiya noted that UNP failed even to secure a single seat from the zone and this was merely the first step of the presidential election. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, Deputy Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade noted that it was a trifle matter claiming that Elpitiya is not a country and they are working on the bigger picture. Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna claimed that this was the first wave of a massive tsunami that is to hit with full force on the 16th of November. Sujeewa Senasinghe, Non-Cabinet Min. of Science, Technology and Research noted that the Elpitiya election is irrelevant and it won't affect the presidential election. He added presidential election is different and from the data, they have gathered UNP candidate Sajith Premadasa is in the lead with 53%-54% vote base. UPFA MP Ramesh Pathirana noted that with the victory in Elpitiya they have set the battleground for Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Ajith P. Perera, Non-Cabinet Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology noted that those who are not aware of the latest developments in the political arena are misled in this matter.
