10,000 consumers face electricity outages in Ratnapura

Colombo (News 1st): A tree fell onto a power line in the Rathnapura town after it was uprooted by strong winds that swept through the area. Media Spokesperson of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy Sulakshana Jayawardena said that the supply of power has been disrupted to about 10,000 consumers in the area. He added that it will take a considerable amount of time to restore the supply of power in the area.
