Development for everyone under my rule : Minister Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An Udagammana which was constructed in Dewalegama in Mulatiyana, Matara was vested with the people today (September 02). The event was held under the auspices of the Deputy Leader of the UNP, Minister Sajith Premadasa. This Udaagammana which was named "Hasthiraajagama", consists of 27 houses and is the 271st village constructed under the Udaagammana program at a cost of Rs 47.3mn. Sajith Premadasa, Deputy Leader of the UNP questioned the economic direction of this country and noted that he envisages to follow a holistic economic direction, that is, going forward as a country. He added that the wealth collected through the open economy and its benefits should be distributed equally among those in society. He shared that the ideal form of economy for this country would be a mixed economy which gives prominence to the people. He went on to note that they have developed an economic plan which is required to move this country forward and it would be a win-win situation for everyone. He requested the crowd to extend their support to this national effort to uplift the country. He ensured that under his rule he would allow everyone to reap the benefits of economic development.
