04/21 Parliamentary Select Committee final report on the 23rd

COLOMBO (News 1st): The final report of the parliament select committee appointed to probe into the 04/21 attack is due to be submitted on Tuesday. A member of the committee said that the report will be prepared based on the evidence received by them. A number of senior police personnel are also due to provide evidence before the committee on the 24th of this month. Senior DIG of the State Intelligence Services, Nilantha Jayawardene is also among them. However, the statement provided by the senior DIG will not be disclosed to the media. In addition, Senior DIG in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department Ravi Seneviratne, Director of the CID, Senior SP Shani Abeysekara, Director of the Terrorist Investigation Division, Senior SP Waruna Jayasundara and an IP of the TID Tharanga Pathirana are due to provide evidence before the commission.
