Secretary of National Police Commission arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Secretary of the National Police Commission, Saman Dissanayake has been arrested by the CID. Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that he was arrested in the morning at the Sri Jayawardhanapura General Hospital. Attorney General ordered the IGP yesterday to arrest the suspects including Saman Dissanayake as concrete evidence was received over the charges for maintaining a floating armoury for Avant-Garde Maritime Services. Police media spokesperson added that they have already apprehended 4 suspects over the Avant-Garde incident and the other four suspects are currently overseas.
