COLOMBO (News 1st) – UPFA MP Mahinda Amaraweera shared thoughts on political policies in Sri Lanka at a function held at the Secondary School in Guru godella, Agunukolapelessa.
He noted that the current national policies have a tendency to change depending on the government as well as the ministers in power. He added that no one could criticize him for not attempting to change that when he was in power as he had not only discussed them and let alone suggested how it was supposed to be established and maintained. He went on to note that if a proper education policy was to be formed, privileged and underprivileged schools would cease to exist.
He finally noted that it is questionable at most whether it is prudent to grant tablets for students when there are ample issues that need to be addressed before tablets.
