I will campaign if the candidate is qualified- MP Sarath Fonseka

COLOMBO (News 1st) -The Kelaniya District Development Committee meeting was held yesterday and parliamentarian Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka expressed his thoughts on the upcoming presidential election and UNPs presidential candidate. Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka noted that the operations in the UNP party run smoothly, but refusal against the prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was nothing to be alarmed as it has been going on for almost 15-20 years. MP added if the presidential candidate of the UNP is eligible to hold the president's office he will campaign for him/her. When he was questioned of the UNPs presidential candidate, he responded that people themselves had to decide a candidate by properly recognizing responsible and wise party members in the party. He finally added that an ideal president was necessary to lead the country and bring back the country from its own destruction.
