SLFP SLPP discussions end with no result

Colombo (News1st) - Another round of discussions between Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna ended without an agreement today. General Secretary of the SLFP Dayasiri Jayasekara said another round of discussions will be held on the 5th of July. Several proposals including the structure of the proposed alliance were discussed between the two parties today. MP Dayasiri Jayasekara said a decision about a presidential candidate would be made following discussions about the creation of a progressive leftist alliance.
