COLOMBO (News 1st):  The people of Sri Lanka are currently experiencing intermittent power cuts and water cuts. Recently, the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development Ravi Karunanayake urged the public to conserve "water and electricity" and reduce wastage. "Last night the number of units that were used reduced from the usual 2600- 2700 to 2200 units. We have to commend our consumers for this reduction," said Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
