Colombo (News 1st): Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds had damaged 18 houses in Udugala North, Ayagama. Police noted that no injuries or displacements have been reported.  The damage caused has not yet been estimated.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that showers or thundershowers may occur in 5 districts today (March 23).
