NFF takes to the streets against the bond scam rogues

COLOMBO (News1st) - The National Freedom Front held a silent demonstration opposite the Central Bank today (February 27) marking four years since the Bond Scam; the biggest financial fraud in the country. The protest was spearheaded by the media spokesperson of the National Freedom Front Mohammed Muzammil. Speaking to the media, Muzzamil noted that it has been four years since this crime was committed by the current PM, members of the cabinet and the former CBSL Governor. He noted that nothing has happened even though a presidential commission was appointed and a report was prepared. He explained that the perpetrators are out in the open and urged the Government to bring them to justice. The NFF Spokesperson also noted that the personal assets of the perpetrators should be seized by the Government in order to minimize the losses suffered by the country.
