COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Department of Excise noted that all bars across the island should remain closed today (February 04) due to the Independence Day celebrations.

Media Spokesperson for the Department and Deputy Commissioner of Excise Kapila Kumarasinghe said that an island-wide operation is in effect to track down those who do not comply with this order.
