Presidential commission to probe state institutions

Colombo (News1st):  President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed a Presidential Commission to investigate fraud and corruption said to have taken place across State Institutions in the country between 14th of January 2015 to 31st of December 2018. The Presidential Commission will be chaired by Retired Supreme Court judge Upali Abeyratne. The committee consists of:
  1. Retired High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardhena
  2. Retired Auditor General P. A. Pemathilake
  3. Retired Ministry Secretary Lalith R. De Silva
  4. Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Vijaya Amarasinghe
