MP Wimal Weerawansa's case postponed to the 27th of March

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A case filed by the Bribery Commission against MP Wimal Weerawansa was postponed to the 27th of March by Colombo High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi. The judge also ordered a certain private bank to permit the representatives and the lawyers of the defendant to access the computer system that generates bank statements provided as evidence in the case. The bribery commission filed this case on several charges including the fraudulent misappropriation of Rs. 75 million during the period he served as a Minister.
