Seven treasure hunters arrested in Adiyagala Forest Reserve

Colombo (News1st): Seven men were arrested by Police while excavating for treasure inside the Adiyagala Forest Reserve. Police also seized a hammering machine, a van, a generator, mobile phones, and mining equipment while in possession of the suspects. The suspects ranging from 39 to 61 years of age are resident of Mahadivulwewa, Dehiowita, Keselwatta, and Dodangoda. The suspects are due to be produced before the Trincomalee Magistrates Court.
