Security at state institutions beefed up

Colombo (News1st) - Police said that steps have been taken to beef up security at state institutions, including state media institutions. A senior official said that a special security program has been implemented with additional police teams being deployed. Subsequent to the Supreme Court decision yesterday, a group attempted to enter the Lake House building last evening. The employees of lake house protested and special security was provided to the premises. Special Police protection has also been provided to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, with effect from last evening.
