Colombo (News1st) – The petition filed by Venerable Dambara Amila Thero and another individual will be taken up before the Supreme Court on the 07th of January.

The petition seeks the Supreme Court to rule that appointing Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister, removing Ranil Wickremesinghe from the post of Prime Minister and the removal of the Cabinet of Ministers as illegal.

The petition was taken up before Justices Sisira De Abrew, Buwaneka Aluwihare and Murdu Fernando.
