IGP provides a statement to the CID

Colombo (News1st): IGP Pujith Jayasundara appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department today (November 25) to provide a statement for an ongoing investigation regarding an assassination plot targetting high profile individuals. According to the CID, the IGP had arrived at the premises to provide the statement at around 7.30 this morning. The IGP left the premises around 11 am after providing the statement for almost 3 and a half hours. IGP Pujith Jayasundara appeared at the before the CID based on a notice issued to him. Police said the statement was recorded from the IGP following a revelation by Namal Kumara, the Director Operations of the Anti Corruption Force, about an alleged assassination plot.
