Colombo (News 1st) – Karu Jayasuriya states that as the Speaker he has to heed the stance of the majority when 120 MPS have written to him challenging the current government.

Issuing a communique, the Speaker notes that the statements and objections made in Parliament and outside about him being biased towards a party are therefore futile.

He stated that proving that the current government has the majority will be more productive than these demonstrations and protests.
