Removal of fmr. chief justice Shirani Bandaranayake

Colombo (News1st): UNP MP Mujibur Rahman convened a media briefing to comment on a statement made by former president Mahinda Rajapaksa regarding the removal of former chief justice Shirani Bandaranayake. He stated that the former chief justice Shirani Bandaranayake was removed due to court rulings she gave against the former president's government. Rahman added that they all know how court cases were conducted during Mahinda Rajapaksa's government. and how Sarath Fonseka faced injustice. He added this is why they say, the cases against Johnston and the others should commence soon. When journalists asked him about Mahinda Rajapaksa leaving in a hurry. He states that Mahinda is furious and in so much anger, therefore, he is conveying the message that they should protect the government.
