Four Faculties of the University of Peradeniya reopens today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Four Faculties of the Peradeniya university that were closed recently will reopen today (August 20). Vice-chancellor of the university Upul Dissanayake said that the management faculty, medical faculty, faculty of arts, and Veterinary faculty will reopen for the second and third academic year students. The Vice-chancellor added that based on the request of the Deans Council and the Dean, the engineering faculty will reopen on the 27th of this month. On the 13th of this month the medical faculty, agricultural faculty and the Veterinary faculties opened for final year students. All faculties of the Peradeniya university were closed recently owing to a conflict after a group of students at the engineering faculty was not allowed to sit for their examination due to the lack of the required attendance for lectures.
