COLOMBO (News 1st) – Two suspects were arrested by Customs officials at the Bandaranayake International Airport for the possession of five Gold biscuits.

Deputy Customs Director Vipula Minuwanpitiya said the duo who arrived from Singapore had attempted to smuggle the stock of gold weighing 500 grams into the country.

The customs department is conducting further investigations.
