PM to deliver key note address at the opening ceremony at the Summit in Singapore

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 15 member delegation including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left for Singapore this morning (July 8) to attend the World Cities Summit, Singapore International Water Week and Clean Environment Summit Singapore 2018. The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister of Housing & Construction Sajith Premadasa, Minister of development strategies & International Trade Malik Samarawickrema and the Minister of City planning & Water Supply Rauff Hakeem. The PM would be delivering the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the summit tomorrow under the topic of Urban development and Environment protection. Attention will also be drawn towards proper administration and planning, technology, innovation and on how to build relationships with key stakeholders when designing cities. During his visit, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and many other high-level dignitaries of the Singaporean Government.
