Accident in Bulugala injures 12

Colombo (News 1st) - A van veered off the road and collided onto a transformer at six in the morning today (June 17) injuring 12 individuals. The accident had taken place in Bulagala along the Dambulla - Anuradhapura main road. The police stated that the accident was caused when the driver of the vehicle lost control, the van had been plying from Welimada to Vavuniya. Among the injured victims are eight women. Police further said the injured passengers had been admitted to the Dambulla Base Hospital and that they are not in a critical state.
