Perpetual Treasuries Limited office in Colombo 02 sealed

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - The Perpetual Treasuries Limited premises located in the Parkland Building in Colombo 02 was searched today (May 26). The office premises of Perpetual Treasuries Limited was searched in the presence of the Chairman of the Perpetual Group Geoffrey Joseph Aloysius. Sources close to the investigation said Geoffrey Joseph Aloysius had claimed he was not aware of the location of the documentation required by the detectives. The Source went on to say most of the cupboards and drawers in the office premises were locked and Geoffrey Joseph Aloysius had claimed he does not have the keys to open them. Therefore, the investigators sealed the premises and would consider the future course of action. On Thursday, the Fort Magistrate sent notice on Geoffrey Joseph Aloysius to accompany detectives to search the premises to locate documentation required for the investigation.
